- Excited to highlight R. Prakash Kolli, Ph.D., P.E., CEO & Co-Founder of 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions (3DOS), for his participation on Day 2 of the Tom Tom Innovation Festival Showcase Presentation, where he spoke during the Life Sciences track. At 3DOS, Prakash and his team are advancing medical technology through the development of customizable, 3D-printed biodegradable scaffolds designed to simplify bone grafting and accelerate bone regeneration across oral, maxillofacial, and orthopedic procedures. Their work represents a powerful step forward in making complex surgical solutions more efficient, precise, and accessible.
- Prakash Kolli, PhD., P.E. was honored to represent 3D OrthoBiologic as a presenter at CvilleBioHub Speaker Series - Regeneration in Practice: Engineering the Future of Healthcare in Charlottesville on March 31st. This program brought together experts to explore how emerging technologies—like engineered tissues, gene-edited cells, and immune-modulating signals—are shaping the future of regenerative medicine. The discussion also addressed the key challenges of translating these complex therapies into clinical use, including scientific, manufacturing, and regulatory hurdles, while highlighting what founders, clinicians, and investors must consider to build scalable and sustainable healthcare solutions.
2025
- 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions is honored to be selected for the Fall 2025 Aspire Medtech program. Chosen from a competitive national pool, 3DOS is one of 16 innovative medtech teams focused on improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs. The five-week hybrid program, supported by TEDCO, runs from October 14 to November 14 and includes expert-led fundraising training, investor mentorship, and an in-person workshop. 3DOS is excited to engage with the Aspire and TEDCO communities as it advances its mission.
- 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions attended the Startup Prize: Focus on Health in-person qualifying event in Shreveport, LA for the first time in July. As one of 41 companies from across the country, Prakash Kolli, PhD., P.E. found it an excellent opportunity to meet with other founders and investors in the Shreveport and Louisiana ecosystem.
- Prakash Kolli, PhD., P.E. completed the Google Startup Cloud Innovate Program in June. This 3-week intensive course helped 3DOS explore use cases for our technology on Google Cloud. He especially enjoyed diving deeper into specific technology tracks like AI/ML, Data Analytics, and Infrastructure.
- We are excited to share that 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions has successfully advanced to the final round of the RESOLVE'25 Mass Challenge Showcase. Out of numerous applicants, we are proud to be one of just twenty-five start-up finalists, and one of only five selected in the healthcare category.
- Our CEO and co-founder, R. Prakash Kolli, Ph.D., P.E., and Director of Engineering, Jordan Givens, recently completed the NIH Entrepreneurship Bootcamp. The program focused on customer discovery to learn about and define our beachhead market. It was an excellent opportunity to engage with clinicians and others in the ecosystem that defines our market.
2024
- We are excited to announce our participation in the nineteenth cohort of the RIoT Accelerator Program (RAP XIX), welcoming six startups to the twelve-week program. Our CEO and co-founder, R. Prakash Kolli, Ph.D., P.E., is participating in the hybrid program with five other companies.
- 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions was featured in the RIot Accelerator Program's Startup Spotlight - The Journey to Grow a Business and Bone Grafts. Prakash Kolli, Co-Founder & CEO, 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions, shared his journey, the inspiration behind the venture, and the lessons learned along the way.
- We are happy to announce that Mr. Jeff Eardley has taken the role of Director of Growth at 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions. He brings significant expertise and experience in medical device commercialization to our team.
- 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions was selected to participate in the 2024 MassChallenge U.S. Early Stage Cohort. Only 128 startups were selected from over 1300 applicants. Dr Kolli will represent 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions in Boston!
- Dr. Kolli and 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions successfully completed the Lighthouse Labs Accelerator. We were picked as the Shark Tank Favorite during the Batch 16 Demo.
- We are thrilled to announce that 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions was chosen as one of Virginia’s Most Innovative Startups at the 2024 Tom Tom Festival.
2023
- 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions acquired Blue Point Materials Research, LLC and its anti-bacterial stainless steel technology.
- Dr. Leslie Barnes Remski, MDF, FAAOS has joined our medical advisory board. She is a fellowship-trained, Board-certified, practicing orthopedic trauma surgeon, specializing in complex fracture fixation of the extremities and pelvis.
- Fairfax Founders Fund announced its Inaugural Cohort in November 2023. 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions was selected to as an awardee for a $50,000 grant.
- We are happy to announce that 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions was selected as a finalist in Dentech 2023 Pitch Competition.
- 3D OrthoBiologic Solutions was picked to participate in MassChallenge Foundations 2023 cohort. This 30-day program focuses on the Leanstack methodology.
